How to Go About Building a Blog

What You Need to Create a Blog

If you are like many others interested in starting their own blog, you may want to know how to go about doing it successfully. The answer is nothing, provided that your only goal is to spend no money at all. However, if you want higher returns then you will need to invest some money to help you get started, and depending on what you want to do, you can spend up to several hundred dollars, but in the long run it is worth it.

First, the most important thing you need to do to help you get started in the right direction of success is to find a database or a research tool to find specific ’keywords’. Currently, there are dozens of these products on the market, which range in price from free to around $500. One of the most popular available today is ’WordTracker’, they offer a free limited trial version or you can pay by the day at $7.50 or by the month, costing around $45. This will allow you to find out which blog keywords are most profitable and have a reasonable demand/supply rating and combined site search gravity count.

Other than a key phrase tool, the answers to the, "what you need to get started" question, will usually depend on the project.

For example, if the blog you are hosting is one you want to use as a source of profit, then you will want to add a thumbnail generator on your, "what you need to get started" list of things to do.

A thumbnail generator will work to create codes that will help increase the click-thru rate in your blog by using related, scraped-thumbnails pictures and searches on Google images and place them next to your contextual ads.

However, if you will be marketing your own product, then you will need to add an auto responder to your, "what you need to get started" list.

You can increase your conversion rate immensely by using an auto responder, because it will allow you to save time by not having to personally follow-up on each email, or only relying on your sales page.

My recommendation would be to always do some research on the internet for what products you can download, before you go out and spend a lot of money on something you may not really need. It may very well be, that you decide to purchase some tools to better help you with development and promotion to make you more successful in blogging. So basically you have a few choices, you can create a profitable blog without paying a cent, but if you want to take advantage of automating tools to further improve your profitability and efficiency, you will have to purchase at least a few tools.
